HISTORY & ORIGINS — FRIEDBERG 2007
27 July 2007: The birth of a vision.
It all begins in Friedberg, Hesse, where a group of Cameroonian students and young graduates from the Bamboutos region decide to turn their informal gatherings into a collective force for action.
The goal was twofold: to create a solidarity safety net for the diaspora in Germany, and to become a major driver of socio-economic development in their home department in Cameroon.
Today, ABH e.V. is a recognised public benefit institution, run by an elected board, ensuring that every commitment translates into a concrete impact on the ground.

OUR APPROACH
How we ensure the impact
of every donation.
Field needs assessment
We don't impose projects. Every action grows out of direct dialogue with local councils, village chiefs and parent associations (APEE) to address priority needs.
Local co-funding
We prioritise the involvement of beneficiaries. Local participation — through labour or logistics — ensures ownership and long-term sustainability of the project.
Monitoring & accountability
Every cent is tracked. We require photo reports and handover minutes for each construction or distribution phase.
